MODERN STONE ORANGERY
There’s no limit to what you can do with a classic orangery design – let your imagination run wild.
It is important that you get a considerable say in the styling and arrangement of your chosen orangery so that it feels like an extension of yourself, so to speak! This stone built orangery was largely brought to life thanks to the foresight of the homeowner who decided to include Georgian windows to give it that authentic feel. Georgian bars were also incorporated into these windows as an additional classy touch. There’s a very high volume of stonework in the building, however, this didn’t prevent us from putting a decent quantity of glass into the final creation.
Keen to utilise their garden as much as the orangery, the occupants stipulated that a twin pair of Georgian-styled French doors be integrated into the structure. There will be many occasions though when indoor living takes preference over enjoying the outdoor environment and when it occurs in summer the top opening windows can always be opened to provide any required ventilation. Like many original orangeries, this contemporary design is home to several potted plants and flowers that are sure to blossom. The internal temperature won’t become too stifling though as the roof will provide suitable thermal comfort throughout the various seasons. What a way to make your mark.
