5. Attend to your garden

At the same time as eyeing your front door, one of the first things people spot when approaching your house is the garden. Give your garden the treatment it needs and deserves to look lush.

Mow the lawn frequently, cut back any overgrowing flower and plants, trim your hedges and remove any weeds. Go on, get those fingers looking green!
