Planet Is An Assure-Certified Installer – Why This Is Important For You

But, you can never have enough reassurance when it comes to anything involving your home, one of your most treasured assets, as we’ve all heard the odd horror story of someone who has been severely let down by a so-called window, door and conservatory ‘specialist’. 

We’re pleased to tell you that Planet holds Assure Certification. 

It is a significant accreditation as it is a Government-approved Competent Person Scheme, and means that any window or door installation carried out at your home by Planet complies with current building regulations. 

As proof of this, you will receive a certificate at the conclusion of the installation, which you need to keep hold of. It’s because if you ever come to sell your home, you can offer the certificate as evidence that your installation meets the necessary rules, has been registered with your local authority and is above board and legal. 

You can replace a lost Assure certificate, so don’t worry if it gets misplaced.

Without this certificate, which you can only obtain through an Assure installer, you could find it difficult to secure a sale, and what do you do then?

Our fitters carry Assure branded ID cards with them, so don’t be afraid to ask them to show them to you. 

To gain acceptance onto the scheme, we had to demonstrate that we met Assure’s high standards during an inspection, and an annual inspection is held to check that Planet is sustaining these standards, otherwise our membership status can be revoked.
