Outdoors In The Lakes
The Lake District is a wonderful place and that’s something we here at Planet South Lakes know all too well.
There’s plenty of different things that you can come up here and take part in. If you’re quite the adventurer then you certainly won’t be short of things to keep yourself and whoever it is that you travel to the Lake District with, entertained.
Water Sports
There’s a huge variety of different things for you to do when it comes to getting a bit wet in the Lake District. This activity though, may not be the best of things to do in the winter so we advise caution with any of these activities.
There’s a lot of boat related activities. If you fancy trying your hand at canoeing or kayaking then there certainly isn’t a shortage of places to go and kayak or canoe. Lake Windermere for example is great.
You could also try your hand at sailing or diving if you’re getting bored of canoeing and kayaking. There’s also the opportunity for you to learn to water-ski too.
Cycling
Now, not everyone really enjoys cycling, especially in very hilly areas but still, a lot of people enjoy the challenge and there’s plenty of scope for a challenge in the Lakes.
Now, depending on what kind of route you want, depends on where you will have to go but there certainly won’t be a shortage of places for you to find your ideal cycling route and go at it.
Rock Climbing
Rock climbing can be seen as a thrill seeking sport, others may see it as just an enjoyable, leisurely sport. Well, that depends on what it is that you’re looking at getting from rock climbing but either way, rock climbing in the Lake District is rewarding.
So, there you have it. There’s a number of different things that you can do in the Lake District while you’re up here to keep yourself entertained along with your group of friends.
