Newly Created App Makes Energy Reading Easier
Research has shown that a great majority of UK homeowners are being overcharged for their energy bills at a time when the cost of energy is at its highest ever level. Sometimes this occurs due to a miscalculation from an energy supplier but very often it is because householders fail to provide their energy company with a regular meter reading.
Most people don’t do this as they incorrectly believe that the estimated cost given by their provider will always be right and any way many of us simply don’t have the time to do this and record it over the telephone or online. A regular accurate meter reading is all it takes to ensure that you get charged the correct amount.
EDF Energy have specially designed an app for smartphones that seeks to resolve the problem. It allows homeowners to take a photo of their current meter reading and upload it to the supplier who will automatically update their account so that they never again get charged more than they need to again. This innovative creation will no doubt save many EDF customers hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds in the long-term.
As will double glazing in Morecambe, double glazing in Keswick and double glazing in Cockermouth for those who purchase it from Planet South Lakes. A new set of windows can help prevent energy bills from getting out of hand, particularly for those who currently reside in a property that still has old single glazed windows installed.
Heat loss will be cut, energy efficiency will be more in evidence and insulation will be taken to a brand new level. You will also benefit from a much more appealing home as its appearance will be revived.
