Why Conservatories Are Great For Winter Too
When many people think of a conservatory, the immediate thought is that it is a room for summer, we’re going to discuss why your conservatory is also great for the winter months.
Modern conservatories are very energy efficient (at least ours are) and keeping them warm through the winter chill should be no more expensive than the rest of your home. You want to make the most of your conservatory year round, there’s no need to vacate the space once summer comes to a close.
Some may disagree, but whilst there is an obvious beauty in the summer months, there’s also an appeal to the winter weather (provided you’re not exposed to it). Snow covered lawns and rainy days can be enjoyed from the comfort and warmth of you conservatory. You’ll also benefit from being able to soak up what little light we get from November onwards!
Another winter favourite? The sound of heavy rain on glass, argue if you must, but I can think of little more relaxing than sitting on a comfortable sofa with a blanket and a book and listening to the patter of heavy rain on the glass panes. Also if you have kids that get excited when it snows, you can let them play in the garden whilst you keep an eye over them without ever feeling the chill.
If you have green fingers and dread the affect that the winter frost will have on your beautiful garden then certain types of flowers and potted plants could always be brought inside to protect them. An added bonus to this is that you still get to enjoy them year round!
These are just some of the reasons that conservatories can be a great winter room, we’re sure there are others and we would love to hear them!
